To me music is life... I'm a punk rocker at heart, but I listen to everything except country and techno... both of which will rot your brain right out of your ear!

My favorite bands are mostly old, and have long stopped touring or producing new music... Dead Kennedys, Black Flag, Misfits w/Danzig instead of Michael Graves, Vice Squad.

Bands that I like which are still around are Poison Idea, Wednesday Night Heroes, Bad Religion, NOFX, the Casualties, the Varukers.... Some of these bands are a little older than others, but they are all still touring very actively.

I also like alot of old skool rap. I can't stand the brainless "my gun is the biggest and I bang the most bitches" rap lyricists of today. Public Enemy, KRS One, Slick Rick, Run DMC.... these are some of the rappers with actual skill I listen to. Pretty much the only new rap I listen to is Papoose and Dizzee Rascal.

Some people think I'm strange, but I really like 80's new wave... Talking Heads, Madness, Human League, Tears for Fears.... Mabey it has something to do with being born in '85? It also goes along with the punk rock a bit, as alot of bands like Madness and Agent Orange started as punk bands and ended up new wave.

I am very active in my local (Ottawa, Ontario) music scene, and go to anywhere from 2 to 10 shows a month, some local and some not. Music is my release and being in the middle of a pit, music blaring, everyone around you completely enveloped in the moment.... ahhhh wicked.
