Here's a shitty short video of my monkey ass drumming like a poopstick. Too metal for most punkers, too punk for most metallers. This is not music, this is grindcore! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c--m5x-qqvQ

Fuck the Music Industry |

Every avenue of the music business I've encountered and embarked upon, has been nothing more than a fatal fetus ready to be aborted. Corrupted liars, fakes, frauds, cheats, thieves, corporate hacks and dirty politics surround almost every aspect of it's aura, embodiment and reeking of pungent fumes. It may look enticing and appetizing from the casual outside onlooker, but this is a pretentious assumption. Pulling aside the iron curtain, there cowering in the corner, are the denizens of soulless frames with bloodied daggers so firmly casted into their backs. Those piercing blades remain forever more and have become one with their vulgarity, like mutant limbs and grafted appendages, in order to remind them of their initiation into the house of venalities. There is no truth, honor or pride, only starving and self aggrandizing vultures ready to capitalize upon anyone shall they even trip up once, whether they are top of the food chain or on the lower bottom barrel of the barracks. The floors actually only go up to eight, so go use the roof. |

Cared For |

| I care nothing for your watered down sports, drowning in a sea of bullshit competitive infatuations and false grandeur. I care nothing for your childish games passing for politics, even the mere 4 year old understands it better and takes the high ground above such empty souls. I care nothing for your atypical 9 to 5 job, the one depletes time, energy and existence like a bottomless pit. I care nothing for your fabulous and flashy fashion, senses and tastes that leave them dulled and dumbed down like poisoned urine and putrid fecal matter for the masses. I care nothing about your embellished scene, a suffocation from an umbilical cord that did not birth you with such religious ideology. I care nothing for your commerce induced commercialisms, selling and buying shit for shit made by shit to make more shit. I care nothing about your needing to belong to the greater good, a pipedream and wishful thinking at most, another contributer to death and destruction in the least. I care nothing for your masks and circus sideshows, the one that hides the hideous self that intoxicates itself upon burning flesh fumes of those running around within the circle of fire. I care nothing for your selfless selfishness, the one that drains and creates unneeded emotional baggage and drama passing off as an another acceptable excuse. I care nothing of your world or of it's reflections, it's all a farce full of shattered, bleeding and bloodied mirrors. |

Chaotic Order in Creative Processes |

Notebooks, they are a fascination and wonder to behold, mainly for those like myself during the creative processes. Ideas may flourish at any passing moment or insightful glances. Such piercings upon the third eye can be so blinding at times that it acts like a flash bang or an explosion upon theories how this milky way came to be. Universes, it's inhabitants, even to the most minute details can all be cataloged with the magical wave of a writing instrument upon the condensed fibers of papers. I can spend hours on end practicing my musical instruments, fine tuning my agility, endurance and overall skill sets. But without forms to help organize such outpourings, no solid basis and foundations would be set to build off of. Most of the songs written for Nine Sisters may contain anywhere from 6 to 8 riffs each, sometimes more. Each with their own alternatives, which I may label as riff 1.1 or 1.2, etc. There are rarely, if any repeating patterns in the song structure to be found as in most popular and contemporary music, as I've been more inspired and influenced by the cascading sound waves of classical music. It paints a sonic story, instead of the preconceived everyday rock song where they formulate on a verse, chorus, verse, chorus, bridge/breakdown/solo, verse, chorus, chorus. With Avatar, a backbone track is laid, and various other layers are added in a freeform live recording, just like a freeform jazz performance. Sometimes these musicians may have never crossed paths before, until the stage is set, and if the root note is in the key of D minor, then so be it. Each is free to express their own translation and audio communications, and allowing for each to have a say, as opposed to the atypical frontman always striving for mass attention, or even the guitarist that is bellowing in the limelight once their solo and wanking is under way. Empty pages waiting to be filled with a myriad of words and worlds allows myself to jot down lyrical content. Empty spaces give me air to breathe where the evolution of the rhyme and reason may be altered for further progression. Being a bibliophile helps me to draw a wide plethora of inspirations, like a pathologist drawing from an endless source piecing the puzzles together, or lost soul wandering through an ongoing labyrinth. For the most part, I tend to take notes when deep into a specific subject. I will not read only one book, nor two, it usually many, depending on the subject. As one opinion, perspective and/or translation can be an ignorant entrapment. Questioning and questing upon such quantum mechanics and psychologies, the tinkering of the twilight. As it has been mentioned, all musick is propraganda. Propraganda enslaves through culture traps, empty promises, white lies that offer no truths other than ego filled superficialities engraved through mass manipulations. The paper cuts, the ink bleeds black, and the words lay waste to the empty voids. The notebook also furthers to play a pivotal role in arranging everything from microphone placement, to track placements in the virtual world (since I work on a DAW) and in the physical world (the mixer, cable to preamp I/O's). When EQ, effects or dynamics are placed in specific channels, I will remember where they are. The notebook is a snapshot of details that were dialed in, rerouting, bused or grouped tracks, panning, etc. The recording process is rarely a one day shoot or instant gratification, it's always a work in progress. As much as I despise domestic responsibilities since they seem to be neverending, they are a distraction, but I still get them done. Welcome to the barren wastelands of paper peddlers, automated telecommunications, and random other wastes of time and resources; the notebook helps me to pick up where I left off. It's never just been a hobby, it's a full time job trying to balance multiple roles. The notebook is my advisor, reminder and trusted companion during times of needed order within the chaos of D.I.Y. creative processes. |
