Biography

The Quintessentials were founded in 1998 by Les Hernandez in Honolulu, Hawaii. The band was a continuation of his two previous bands, Crawling Chaos and The Catalogs. The Quintessentials released three full-length albums in Hawaii and relocated to Portland, Oregon, in July of 2006. The band is currently working on material for their fourth full-length album.

The Quintessentials have a great "classic punk sound". Listening to some of their stuff feels like throw back to some of the good ol' days of early punk. The whole band is pretty tight, definately a fan of the drum work and strong vocals.
